13. Settings
The chapter „Settings" explains the different setting functions of the weather station.
a) Setting the time zone (+/-12 hrs)
b) Selection between 12 or 24 hr display
c) Setting the time (hours/minutes)
d) Setting the calendar (year/month/date/weekday is calculated automatically)
e) Temperature display in °C or °F
f) Air pressure display in „hPa" or „inHg"
g) Setting the relative air pressure from 919hPa – 1080hPa (default 1013.2hPa)
h) Threshold value for the air pressure 2hPa - 4hPa (default 2hPa)
i) Threshold value setting for the storm warning 3hPa - 9hPa (default 4hPa)
j) Wind speed and wind gusts unit in „km/h", „mph", „m/s", „knots"; „bft"
k) Rain quantity, either in mm or in
The device switches to setup mode when you press the SET button for 3 seconds.
The value to be set blinks. While you are in setup mode, the requested value is
changed by pressing the +/
button or the MIN/MAX button depressed, you can speed up the setting (quick set).
Pressing SET takes you to the next setup function. You can skip individual settings
by briefly pressing SET repeatedly.
You can leave the setup function again right away by again pressing the HISTORY
button. If no button is pressed for approx. 10 seconds, the device automatically
leaves the setup function.
a) Setting the time zone
• When you briefly press the SET button while the base station is in normal display
mode, it changes to the setup function for the time zone.
• With the +/
- button or MIN/MAX button, you select the corresponding deviation
to the DCF time.
Example:
If the setting „1" was selected, one hour is added to the current DCF time.
With this setting, you can adjust the displayed time if the base station is within the
range of the DCF signal but in a different time zone to the DCF time.
• Briefly press the SET button to select the setup item „Selection of 12 or 24 hr dis-
play".
