Putting into Operation
Before you can use the device, you must fi rst fi t the attachment of your choice and pour water
into the water reservoir.
CAUTION!
❐ Always switch off the device with the on/off swicht and pull out the mains plug before you
remove/change an attachment or if you want to fi ll the water reservoir. Always pull the plug
and never the cable.
❐ Never place the cleaning attachments directly onto the hand steam cleaner. Always use one
of the adapters (short or with extension hose) to place on a cleaning attachment.
❐ Always make sure that the cleaning attachment is pushed onto the adapter or the bent
intermediate piece as far as it will go so that no steam can escape through a gap between the
cleaning attachment and adapter or the intermediate piece!
❐ Danger of scalding! Never change an attachment while the hand steam cleaner is still emitting
steam.
❐ Check whether the cleaning cloth shows any signs of wear each time before you use it. Do
not use it if it shows any signs of wear or if it is damaged! The surfaces which you want to
clean with it could be damaged!
❐ Danger of scalding! Be careful if you want to reclean dirty spots with a cloth after they have
been steam-cleaned. The surfaces may still be hot!
❐ Never use the hand steam cleaner to press clothing if this clothing is still being worn by a
person! Always hang up clothing on a coat hanger or something similar before you steam-
press it!
❐ Never direct the steam at the same spot continuously for longer than 10 seconds.
❐ Never use the device with an empty water reservoir! This may damage the device. You
should regularly refi ll the water reservoir during use.
❐ Do not overfi ll the water reservoir! We recommend that you do not pour more than 220 ml
of water into the water reservoir.
❐ Never pour any cleaning agent or additives into the device. This could destroy the device and
safe working is no longer guaranteed.
❐ Shortly after use, the attachments used may still be very hot. You should therefore wait for
a few minutes until they have completely cooled down before you detach them.
Attaching the Adapter
To attach a cleaning attachment to the hand steam cleaner, you must fi rst place the short adapter
or the adapter with the extension hose onto the device. To do so, perform the following steps.
