RAMP UP MODE
The RAMP UP mode is applicable to polymerize indirect resin
composite restorations, light cure resin-based temporaries and
other dental prosthesis or denture repair made in a dental
laboratory.
BASE 290 cure unit incorporates a ramp up mode, starting at 600
mWcm-2 and ramping up to 1000 mWcm-2 over a 10 second
period, followed by an alarm and a further 1000 mWcm-2 to
2000 mWcm-2 over a further 10 second period.
This function is selected by setting the power level to maximum
followed by pressing and holding the Navikey. The power indicators
will indicate ramp function is in operation by flashing.
WARNING:
As it's the case with all high performance curing lights , the high
light intensity combined with long or repetitive curing cycle can
generate heat. Prolonged exposure of areas near pulp and soft
tissues could result in irreversible damages. Therefore, this product
must only be operated by trained professionals clinicians.
POWER SAVING MODE
BASE 290 cure unit will revert to power saving mode after
2 minutes of inactivity. The previously set modes will be
recalled following any press of the Navikey.
MAINTENANCE
The single use BASE 290 barrier sheaths should be used and
disposed of. The light unit should then be cleaned and disinfected
using a cleaning cloth moistened with disinfectant.
Do not immerse the unit in water.
Follow local directives and guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting.
Use disinfectants which do not contain chlorine and are free from
protein fixing effects e.g. chlorhexadine and always follow the
manufacturer's guidelines.
Check the lens of the unit for cured dental resin; remove
carefully paying attention not to scratch the lens.
WARNING: NOT AUTOCLAVABLE
Periodically check the power output with a light meter in the range
380nm to 500nm.
