WARNING
Risk of accident, electric shock
Always pull the plug out of the socket before
performing any type of work on the machine.

Dust extraction

CAUTION
Breathing in dust can damage the respiratory
passage.
When processing materials that generate haz-
ardous dust (e.g. wood), connect the machine
to a suitable dust extractor.
When performing work that generates dust,
always wear a dust mask.
For simultaneous extraction at the router and the
fence or curved guard, acquire the extractor set
(488292) and connect the 27 mm (1.06 in.) extractor
hose to the router and the 36 mm (1.42 in.) extrac-
tor hose to the extractor connector on the fence or
the curved guard.

Adjust the angle and height of the rail until the
tip rests against the ball bearing guide on the
router bit [30].
This will prevent the ball bearing guide
from turning during work and from leav-
ing burn marks on the workpiece.
Tighten the screw [29-5].

Adjustments

Changing the routing tool

Change the routing tool under the router module
as described in the operating manual accompany-
ing your router. Crank the routing tool all the way
down as described in Chapter "Adjusting the rout-
ing tool height".
Adjusting the routing tool height
The height adjuster on the machine must be un-
locked before the routing tool height can be ad-
justed.
Insert the crank handle [32-1] in the hole [32-2]
on the router module.
Turn the crank handle to set the desired routing
depth. The distance between each line on the
dial ring is 0.1 mm (0.004 in.) - one full turn of
the ring represents 4 mm (0.16 in.).
You can also attach the crank handle to
the bottom of the height adjuster.
