In the main menu, scroll to page 2 using the [ARROW RIGHT]
key.
Switch to the "Service mode" menu using the [F3] key.
In the "Service mode" menu, switch to the "Startup mode"
menu using the [F2] key.

Use the [F2] key to switch on the bypass water (solenoid valve
or bypass pump).
The target value is defined by the system choice. The actual
value shows the current water quantity flowing through the
bypass.
Starting of startup mode
Use the [F3] key to switch to the "Startup/start" menu.
Press the [Enter] key to start the startup mode.

Runtime
The remaining time for the startup mode is shown on the display.
If it has expired, the system switches off automatically.

7.5 Calibrating the dosing pumps
Details of the dosing rate required for the size of
installation in question can be found in the table in
2.1.1 Performance and consumption data
"Consumption of components".
Caution
As diluted chemicals are used in these installations,
the consumption data may be compared 1 : 1 with
water.
Calibration can be done with water.
The dosing pumps with double head system can also
be calibrated at any time in regular mode without

interrupting the process sequence.

Warning
Don't let the calibration tube run empty.
Re-open the isolating valve in good time.
Shut the isolating valve (4) at the calibration tube (5).
The supply from the tank is now interrupted. The calibration
tube is slowly emptied.
Using a stopwatch, time how long it takes for the dosing
volume of 0 to 10 ml (10-ml measuring glass) and of 0 to 5 ml
(5-ml measuring glass).
Open the isolating valve (4) at the calibration tube (5).
Calculate the dosing flow:
10-ml measuring glass: V (l/h) = 36/t (s)
5-ml measuring glass: V (l/h) = 18/t (s)
If the calibrated dosing volume deviates from the target value
(table), the dosing rate is corrected with the stroke adjustment
button (on the dosing pump) and checked once again.
If a pump deviation occurs, use the stroke adjustment button to
re-adjust it and re-calibrate it.
Consumption of components, see table in section
2.1.1 Performance and consumption
If several calibration attempts are made, ensure that the suction
lines do not become filled with air. If necessary, deaerate the
pump again.
Dosing pumps for the systems OCD-164-220 to
OCD-164-2000
1. Calibration is made using calibration cylinders.
2. Fill both calibration cylinders with water up to a certain mark.
3. Place the suction lines into the calibration cylinders.
4. Use a stopwatch to determine the time required to dose a
particular quantity of liquid.
5. Remove the suction lines from the calibration cylinders, read
off the new value, and calculate the dosing performance.
6. If the calibrated dosing volume deviates from the setpoint
(table), the dosing rate is corrected with the stroke adjustment
button (on the dosing pump) and checked once again.
Consumption of components, see table in section
2.1.1 Performance and consumption
7. If a pump deviation occurs, use the stroke adjustment button
to re-adjust it and re-calibrate it.
