4.1 Installation on site
First mount the protective tube with the thread (wrench opening 27) to the measure-
ment point.
Device variant type A (radial design) can be rotated opposite the protective tube by
maximum 120° (angle α) to the left or the right. The display can be rotated in two dif-
ferent axes opposite the protective tube. One position can be rotated in the axis of the
protective tube, while the other position can be rotated in the axis of the display. Align-
ment should then be carried out as required. However, after alignment has been com-
pleted, the position must be fixed using the screw cap (1, Figure 4, p. 50).
The device variant type B (axial design) can be rotated by 360° opposite the protective
tube.
Before the temperature transmitter can be set, the glass cover must be removed in
order to access the control buttons behind it.
CAUTION
If you have occasion to open the cover, ensure that it is closed properly again after-
wards in order to ensure the conditions for mechanical protection type IP65 are still
met.
On the front side, the device is parameterized with three buttons as follows:

The M button is used to select the modes (M= Mode)
•
All modes are selected using the mode button M.
