Biotrol® Petite
A very small one-piece ostomy pouch.
Biotrol® Petite is a one-piece system that includes a very small closed
pouch and an integrated skin barrier.
BIOTROL® PETITE CHARACTERISTICS
1. The INTERFACE skin barrier is white in color and uniquely shaped
for the skin area around the stoma. It is very flexible and can be
removed and repositioned. INTERFACE assures a watertight fit and
is easy and gentle to remove.
2. A soft non-woven material envelopes the entire pouch for skin
comfort and elimination of noise and "rustle".
3. A non-woven backing material on the inside surface of the pouch
absorbs mucus and avoids contact between the stoma and the plastic.
4. The closed pouch integrates a highly efficient laminar filter for
regulation of gas and elimination of odors.
BEFORE APPLICATION
If you are using Biotrol® Petite starter hole, cut the skin protector
from the starter hole so it fits the size of your stoma. Please note the
maximum cutting size that is 35 mm. Your stoma should not be
"occluded" by the skin protector.
PREPARATION OF THE SKIN
Only use warm water and mild soap. Rinse and dry carefully. Don't use
antiseptics or deodorants that could irritate your skin.
FITTING YOUR APPLIANCE
1. Peel the protective paper from the skin protector.
2. Apply the skin protector to the skin, starting at the bottom.
3. Adjust and press the bottom part of the skin protector smoothly onto
the skin. Then apply and press onto the skin above the stoma. Smooth
the entire surface of the pouch again to ensure perfect adhesion.
REMOVING YOUR APPLIANCE
Remove the pouch from the top to the bottom while holding the skin
with your other hand.
