Clearance from HVAC equipment and radiant heaters

The fan must be installed at the minimum distances shown below in relation to HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and
Cooling) systems. See the manufacturer's requirements for the minimum clearance to combustibles.
Fan located at or above HVAC discharge or intake
If the fan is at the same level or above the HVAC diffuser, it must have a clearance of ≥1x fan's diameter.
