04.2 Û SAFETY PRECAUTIONS DURING INSTALLATION
DANGER: Contraindications.
Interference with other equipment.
Though compliant with the standard
IEC 60601-1-2, the multipiezo pro may

nonetheless interfere with other devices
nearby.
Themultipiezo pro must not be used near
to or stacked on other devices. However,
if this were to prove necessary, you must
check and monitor correct operation of the
device in that configuration.
DANGER: Contraindications.
Interference from other equipment. An
electrical scalpel or other electro-surgical
units near the multipiezo pro device may
interfere with its correct operation.
WARNING: The electrical system of the
premises in which the device is installed
and used must be compliant to the norms
in force and to the relative electrical safety
precautions.
WARNING: To avoid any risk of electric
shock this device must be grounded.
04.3 Û CONNECTION OF THE ACCESSORIES
Connect the foot pedal to the back of
the device in the socket marked with the
symbol by means of the plug of the
pedal cable, until you hear a "click" sound.
NOTE: the button on the back of the device,
left hand side, above the symbol
be used to bring the treatment to its end in
case the foot pedal is not functioning.
WARNING: in case you need to use the
button replacing the pedal, first disconnect
the foot pedal from the unit.
DANGER: the button replacing the pedal
must be used only as a replacement of
the foot pedal supplied with the unit. This
button allows to end the treatment in case

DANGER: Do not install the device in
places where there is a risk of explosion.
The device cannot operate in environments
where flammable atmospheres are present
(anesthetic mixtures, oxygen, etc.)
DANGER: Install the device in a place
protected against collisions or against
accidental sprays of water or liquids.
DANGER: Do not install the device
above or near heat sources. Foresee
adequate air circulation around the device
when installing it.
WARNING: Do not expose the device to
direct sunlight or to sources of UV light.
WARNING: The device can be
transported, but it must be handled with
care when it is displaced. Position the foot
pedal on ground, so that it can only be
activated intentionally by the operator.
WARNING: Before connecting the
handpiece to its cord, make sure that
the electrical contacts are perfectly dry,
on both sides. If need be, dry them with
compressed air.
