Safety

In addition to the emergency stop located near the control panel, the dryer-ironer is fitted with
other safety devices described below:
1.3.1. Finger protection safety
Operator safety is provided by a plate (safety plate) located just after the infeed table, thus
preventing operators' hands from advancing too far, thereby preventing burns or crushed
fingers.
A slight contact on this safety plate causes the machine to stop immediately and an alarm is
displayed on the control panel. This safety plate can be considered to be the machine's main
emergency stop (can be used over the whole length).
The space between the infeed table and the safety plate is 8mm. This distance must not be
altered.

Handle safety

When using the handle (see section 4.1), the red plate at the bottom of the right frame (front
side) must be removed to insert the handle and manually rotate the cylinder (in the event of a
power failure when the machine is at high temperature). For safety reasons, this action
immediately stops the machine and displays an alarm on the control panel.
1.3.3. Heating-related safety
The machine is fitted with a safety thermostat placed on the cylinder (in one of the two feelers)
of which the manual reset is located inside the left frame and which is triggered if the cylinder
temperature exceeds 205°C. The triggering of the thermostat causes a visible alarm to be
displayed on the control panel.
Two temperature sensors are also installed in the feelers, one for regulation and one for safety,
which also display an alarm if one of the two sensors measures a temperature in excess of
205°C.
For a GAS heating machine and in the event of a failure of the GAS system (no gas, no flame
detection...) detected by the electronic igniter, an alarm is displayed on the control panel. Once
the problem has been solved, the igniter must be reset from the control panel.
