THE SPEED SYSTEM
The speed system of the BLUE consists of two parts: The transmission system on the risers which
distributes inputs between the separate line-groups, and the pulley system on the A-riser which
gives a 3:1 reduction.
To connect the footbar to the speed-system C-clips are used on the accelerator cord and the riser.
These are simply twisted together before takeoff with a 90-degree movement.
Profile-specific reductions in length of the A, B and C-risers accelerate the BLUE by about 13km/h
whilst ensuring no adverse affects on stability.
The cord from the foot-bar is guided through the pulleys provided on the harness, and must be
adjusted to the appropriate length when connected to the pulley system on the risers.
