THE RISER SYSTEM

The riser
The 4-riser-system of the BLUE employs a uniform length of 47cm (L: 53cm). This allows straight-
forward handling on launching, as well as the ability to reach line links during flight. The carefully
designed ratio of the riser system is tuned to the aerodynamic profile and reduces the angle of
attack while decreasing the arch as the foot bar accelerator is deployed.
To enable quicker identification of risers the colour of the seam tape on the A-riser is yellow, and
on the B-riser is red (=emergency manoeuvre, B-Stall).
The brake line passes through a pulley attached to a 6 cm long extension, giving the pilot more
space to operate the brakes without adversely affecting the D-lines.
The final adjustment of the toggle position is dependent upon the dimensions of the harness and
the pilot size, as well as his/her individual preferences (see chapter possibilities for adjustment).
