7.2. Automated acoustic settings using
the ##* function (from V1.51 or later)
Using the ##* function allows you to automati-
cally adjust the values for the acoustic settings
(volume, microphone sensitivity, amplification
of signal sent, amplification of signal received,
echo cancellation). Please proceed as follows:
Call the intercom device with a DTMF-telephone.
The intercom station will answer the call, please
wait at least five seconds, then swiftly enter
the sequence ##* followed by the security code
0/1/2.
The acoustic settings are available:

amplifier, in case it has already been
activated, otherwise operation without

security code, the door intercom will hang up.
In case automated acoustic settings cannot be
executed, e.g. because an additional amplifier
should be used, but no additional 12 V power
supply has been connected, the door intercom
will produce an error beep after the entry of the
corresponding sequence.
Please note: While the automated acoustic
settings are being set, there should be as little
background noise at the door station as possi-
ble, and the telephone used should neither be
present in the direct vicinity of the door station
nor should it be used in hands-free mode.
Please do not hold the receiver directly to your
ear, as there is usually a loud whistling sound
to be heard towards the end of the automated
settings (audio feedback). This is part of the
standard procedure and necessary to determine
the settings. The automated settings take about
20 seconds. Once the automated settings have
been completed, the door intercom will emit a
double beep.
