Electric connection

Standard design
The lights are provided with a com-
mercially available mains plug.
Design „DALI"
Lights in DALI design are delivered
with a 5-pole special plug.
Other designs
Special designs are partly delivered
with special plug or with terminal.
The lights may only be connected
by a trained electrician.
Putting into operation
Before putting the light into opera-
tion, the user has to check whether
the mains voltage is identical to
the rated voltage and frequency
specified on the rating plate.
Information concerning
dimmable lights
(DY* /D and DY* /P):
To avoid flickering of new (not
burned-in) fluorescent lamps, first
use them for a certain period of
time (about 100 h) in undimmed
condition (see information provided
by the manufacturer). Operating
the light in undimmed condition or
without light control during the first
days or weeks results in an incre-
ased brightness and in maximum
useful life.
Note on lights in DALI
design (DY* /D DALI):
Lights in DALI design have no
operating unit of their own, they are
usually operated externally.
These lights can be operated by
means of a touch switch (Touch
DIM) or via DALI bus.
