7 Emergency Calls

You can use the emergency call buttons to call the emergency services
exchange or contact persons in the event of an emergency.
There are several emergency services exchanges available. In
some countries, these may be subject to a charge.
You can also use the equipment as a private emergency call de-
vice within the family.
Storing emergency / one−touch dialling numbers
You can use the one−touch dialling buttons M1, M2 and M3 for normal
direct dialling or as memory locations for the emergency call function.

You can insert photos or symbols under the transparent covers of the
3 one−touch dialling buttons to label them.
You cannot delete the phone numbers assigned to the one−touch
dialling buttons. The existing phone numbers are overwritten
when new numbers are assigned to them.

The number of messages is indicated in the display. The indicator flashes
when new messages have been recorded.

Switch the answering machine on/off
Maximum recording time
The maximum recording time is 24 minutes. The maximum length of a
message is 2 minutes. When the memory capacity for new messages is
exhausted, no further messages are recorded.
Setting the number of rings (answering delay)
You can select 2 or 6 ringing tones or the Tollsaver (TS) setting for prere-
mote access free of charge. The free pre−remote access function enables
you to determine whether new messages have been left on your answer-
ing machine. The slide control is located on the underside of the phone.

If new message have been recorded on your answering machine,
your call is taken after 2 rings.

If no new messages have been recorded, the call is taken after 6
rings. End the call before the 6th ring. This means that no charges
ensue.
Call screening
You can listen to an incoming call without actually taking the call. Adjust
the volume using the Handsfree volume" slide control.
Taking a call being recorded
It is possible to take a call even if the answering machine has already be-
gun to take it. Recording of the message is stopped in this case.
