Read through the instructions before you begin to work.
Check that all parts are included in the package.
Items in illustrations in the instructions may differ from
the model being worked on. The illustrations are used
for different instructions and may therefore vary between
engine models. The essential information is correct.

Installation, general
• Meet the classification rules stated by the related
classification society.
• Use ABYC Standard cables, Category A.
• Make sure that there is sufficient cable to allow the unit
to be removed for service.
• Do not run cables with sharp bends.
Location
Install the box in the vicinity of the engine in engine room.

Installing the MCC box
• Drill holes for cable fittings. Use pilot holes.
Refer to Fig. 2.
• Use Type approved IP65 standard cables.
• Use strain relieving cable glands, IP65. Refer to Fig. 2.
Alternative 1: Mount the box using four M8 screws.
Apply sealant. Refer to Fig. 1.
Alternative 2: Weld the MCC box to a rig.

If no secondary power supply is availible on ech drive line, set the value to
false.

Bridge emergency stop enable
Enable bridge emergeny stop input. To disable emergency stop on the
bridge, set value to false.

Engine room emergency stop enable
Enable engine room emergency stop input. To add emergency stops for the
engine room, set value to true. If set to false, the emergency stop will not
work.

Engine coolant temperature
Engine coolant temperature, default value.

Tranmission oil pressure
Transmission oil pressure, default value.
IMPORTANT: Before any work with the electric weld
can begin, the connection to all control units must be
disconnected. After finished welding, reconnect the
connection to all control units before connecting any
power cable.
IMPORTANT: Observe meticulous cleanliness when
handling system components. Even minimal amounts of
dirt and/or metal filings could cause a breakdown.

NOTE! Shut down override must be connected. Use Type
approved IP65 standard cables.
1. Mount the wiring harness between the SDM (Shutdown
Module) box and the MCC Electrical box.
2. Use resistors, position 5, in both ends (included in the
SDM kit)
3. Connect X20:8 to X1:2
4. Connect X20:6 to X1:3
5. Use strain relieving cable glands, IP65, position 6.

Calibration and settings
Regarding specifications for AUX, PROP, Harbour Genset
and Emergency Genset, refer to CAMS drawings and
ComAp Global guide, available on VPPN, Service, Marine
Commercial Control.
