3. Plug the battery charger (23) into a
mains outlet.
4. When the battery is fully recharged un-
plug the battery charger (23) from the
mains.
5. Remove the battery (21) from the
charger (23).
Installing/changing the
saw blade
Wear protective gloves when
attaching the saw blade.
Risk of injury when touching the
saw blade.
Only saw blades with a
T-shank mount (single lug
shank) such as the supplied
saw blades (12/13) can be
used.
Installing the saw blade
Make sure that the saw blade holder is
free of splinters or other material residue.
1. Turn the chuck (7) as far forward as
possible and hold it firmly in this posi-
tion.
2. Insert the saw blade (12/13) into the
chuck (7). When inserting the saw
blade (12/13), make sure that the
back of the saw blade is in the notch
of the guide roller (6). Make sure that
the saw blade (12/13) is attached cor-
rectly and the teeth are pointing in the
cutting direction.
3. Release the chuck (7).
Be sure to always use the correct
saw blade for the material.
Removing the saw blade
1. Hold the saw blade firmly (12/13).
2. Turn the chuck (7) as far forward as
possible, holding the saw blade firmly.
3. Remove the saw blade (12/13) from
the chuck (7).
4. Release the chuck (7).
Removing/attaching the
parallel guide
The parallel guide can be fitted on
both sides of the device.
Depending on how it is assembled,
use the marking on the right or left
of the baseplate (see detailed illus-
tration) to read the scale.
Attaching the parallel guide
1. Loosen the retaining screws (9) if neces-
sary.
2. Slide the parallel guide (18) through
the slide-in openings (8).
3. Retighten the retaining screws (9).
Removing the parallel guide
1. Loosen the retaining screws (9).
2. Pull the parallel guide (18) out of the
slide-in openings (8).

Removing the tension tear protection
1. Press the tension tear protection (14)
away from the recess in the baseplate
(5).
Attaching the tension tear protection
2. Press the tension tear protection (14)
into the recess in the baseplate (5).
