INTENDED USE
NESE pumps are used to handle overheated water.
The specific design of pump bearing bracket makes it possible to use a
standard mechanical seal and avoid the use of an expensive auxiliary
cooling device for the bearing bracket and the mechanical seal.
Those pumps are used in processes whith overheated water at a
nominal pressure of 40bars.

DESCRIPTION
5.1 TYPE KEY
Pump description is engraved on pump name plate. It gives a
general description of pump design. The nameplate is attached to
pump bearing bracket.
Description of a NESE pump is created as follows :

PERFORMANCE AND OPERATING LIMITS
5. 2. 2. 1 TEMPERATURE
NESE pumps are designed to handle overheated water from 170°C to
230°C. Running time at a temperature lower than 170°C should be
limited to the necessary time needed to reach working temperature.
Thanks to the bearing bracket design, the fluid temperature in the
mechanical seal chamber is limited to 220°C max.
5. 2. 2. 2 PRESSURE
Maximum working pressure is 35bar up to 200°C and 32bar above
200°C.
Hydrostatic test pressure : 52bar
Bearing bracket design includes a prestressed axial thrust bearing (4
point contact ball bearing) to bears heavy axial loads even at 2900RPM.
Ensure a minimum pressure of 8 bars in the loop to ensure proper
lubrication of the internal silicon carbide bearing and to avoid
degassing in MS chamber.
