5. PREPARATORY ACTIONS BEFORE USE
GAS CONNECTIONS
1.
The filtering and regulating unit should be connected
to the gas inlet and mounted with the screws on the
back of the device (applies to models that do not
have a factory-installed filtering and regulating unit).
A suitable tank must be provided if the condensate
collected in the filter needs to be drained.
2.
Connect the gas line to the gas filter inlet connection.

CHECKING THE AIR QUALITY
To check for oil or moisture in the air, set the RUN / SET
switch to SET.
TYPE OF GAS
The gas may be air or nitrogen. A high pressure gas
regulator should be used for each type of gas. The
regulator must be able to supply 155 l / min of gas to the
filter at a pressure of 3.9 bar.
PREPARATION FOR CUTTING
1.
Make sure that the main switch of the device is in
the "0" (off) position and connect the power cord to
an electrical outlet having the parameters specified
on the device's rating plate.
2.
Connect the gas line to the air supply device.
3.
Connect the torch grip to the socket on the device.
4.
Connect the ground cable making sure that the
clamp is securely attached to the workpiece.
5.
Switch the plasma cutter on using the main power
switch.

6. CUTTING OPERATION
1)
Check the connections of the ground cable and the
workpiece, torch, gas cylinder, gas regulator and
hose. Do not attach the ground cable to the part that
will come off when the material is cut.
The correct way to attach the ground cable clamp
2)
Check that the gas inlet pressure is set to 5 bar.
3)
Pull out the cap of the regulator (on the back of the
device), gradually turn it to set the gas pressure to
2.5 - 5 bar and push the cap back.
4)
Turn on the machine and adjust the cutting current.
5)
Place the torch tip on the edge of the workpiece,
making sure the tip is vertical to the workpiece.
C
When piercing the material, the torch tip should
B
A
be tilted away from the operator and bystanders
to avoid the hazards of sparks and hot metal. The
torch is tilted to blow away the molten metal and it
is especially important when cutting thick material.
After the arc is ignited, slowly turn the torch to a
vertical position.
To start cutting with the S-CUTTER 100C and
S-CUTTER 120C models, first pull the safety tab away
from the torch button, then press the button.
WARNING! The plasma arc ignites immediately when
the torch button is pressed. Be careful and always
keep the torch away from your body. Failure to do
D
so may result in serious injury if the torch is started
accidentally.
6)
Move the torch evenly in the desired direction at a
speed that will ensure good cut quality.
7)
Hold the torch lightly against the workpiece or just
B
above it. While cutting, it is easier to pull the torch
rather than push it.
8.
Release the torch switch to quench the arc when you
are finished cutting. Gas will continue to flow from
the torch for a few seconds.
9.
After finishing work, turn off the gas valve and
press the torch switch to remove gas residues from
the regulator. Finally, switch off the device and
disconnect it from the power supply.
7. DISPOSING OF PACKAGING
The various items used for packaging (cardboard, plastic
straps, polyurethane foam) should be kept, so that the
D
device can be sent back to the service centre in the best
possible condition in case of any problems!
8. TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
Shaking, crashing and turning the device upside down
should be prevented when it is transported. Store it in a
properly ventilated surrounding with dry air and without
any corrosive gas.
