Raise the handlebar (Illustration A1 + B1 + V4 + E1 )

IMPORTANT
Make sure the throttle cables are not kinked or jammed when lifting the
handlebars.
IMPORTANT
Make sure that the cables are not pinched, squeezed, twisted or overstretched
when the handlebars are folded apart or collapsed! Always run the cables along
the outside of the bar connection. A damaged cable may result in a technical
defect of the equipment.
Pull the handlebar which is collapsed in a Z-shape upwards into place in the following
sequence:
First lift the bottom part of the handlebar A1 and tighten the nuts on both sides B1 .
Lift the top part of the handlebar until the top part and the bottom part of the
handlebar are on the same level.
52-S A (Illustration V4 )
The quick releases for attachment of the top part and the bottom part of the
handlebar are preset by the manufacturer.
1.
Pull the quick releases upwards to the handlebar.
2.
Tighten the screws hand-tight.
3.
Open the quick releases.
4.
Tighten the screws by a quarter to a half of a turn.
5.
Pull the quick releases up again and check whether the bars are tightly
connected, correct again if necessary.
Keep this setting. If the tension slacks over time, the screws have to be tightened
again.
52-PRO S A (Illustration E1 )
When the top and bottom parts of the handlebar are on the same level, firmly
tighten the handle nuts by hand.

Support bar assembly (Illustration W2 + D1 )

Insert the two screws (1) through the bottom part of the bar from the outside and
set one washer each (2) in place (from the tool bag).
On the inside of the bottom part of the bar, set the support bar (3) in one of the
three positions for the different bar angles:
top catch = steep handlebar setting (for taller people)
bottom catch = flat handlebar setting (for smaller people)
Than set a washer (2) in place on both sides and screw together with a nut (4).
Tighten the two nuts (5) for fastening the support bar to the housing hand-tight.
IMPORTANT
When adjusting the bar height using the support bar, the nuts (2) B1 used to the
secure the lower section of the bar do not need to be undone.
Only undo the nuts (4) W2 far enough to ensure that the bar can be moved freely
during this work.
This stops unintentional folding of the bar and prevents the risk crushing
between the lower bar section and the housing.
