While using, you can remove the pusher to add more
food without turning the appliance off .
CAUTION: Never put your fi ngers or a spatula into the
feed tube.
•
After slicing or grating all the ingredients, press the
switch. Wait until the disc stops turning before
removing the lid. Then remove the disc by taking
hold of the central plastic hub.
To slice round, medium-sized fruit and vegetables,
follow the instructions below:
•
Cut the ends so that the fruit or vegetable can rest
fl at on the disc.
•
Select fruit or vegetables that are fi rm and not too
ripe.
•
Remove the centre, seeds or stones from the fruit or
vegetable before slicing.
•
For long sections or thin slices, cut the food to the
width of the feed tube opening and place the pieces
in horizontally.
N.B: For soft fruit or vegetables, press very gently to
avoid crushing these.
To slice meat or chicken, follow the instructions below:
•
Cut the food to the width of the opening.
•
Place the food in the opening, fl at surface facing
down, and press on the pusher to slice.
N.B: To slice uncooked meat or chicken, freeze the
pieces until they are hard to the touch but still easy to
pierce with the tip of a sharp knife.
N.B: To slice cooked meat or chicken, the pieces must
be chilled.
III. Beating or whipping
The emulsion disc lets you beat egg whites.
•
Insert the emulsion disc as explained in section 3B.
•
Place the egg whites in the bowl and close the lid.

Allow the motor to run until the whites are stiff .
Tip: add a pinch of salt or a few drops of lemon juice for
better results. We also recommend removing the pusher
from the feed tube to ensure the egg whites are properly
aerated.
•
The emulsion disc also allows you to emulsify foods
like:
• Whipped cream (Chantilly, sabayon, tiramisu etc.)
• Mayonnaise (béarnaise, rouille, crème mousseline
etc.)
• Meringue (French, Italian)
• Vinaigrette
IV. Adding food while the processor is running
•
The pusher has a hole in it that allows you to add
liquid ingredients slowly and evenly. To do so, pour
the liquid through the hole while the appliance
is running. This method is especially useful when
making mayonnaise or other sauces.
•
You can also add small pieces of food, or food cut
into small pieces, like cheese, meat or garlic cloves
while the machine is running. To do so, drop the food
into the opening of the feed tube. Make sure you put
the pusher back in place immediately after having
added the food to protect yourself against splashes
or injuries.
V. Removing food from the processor
•
Press the
switch and wait until the blades or disc
has stopped turning.
•
Remove the lid by turning in an anticlockwise
direction.
•
When emptying the bowl, make sure the blade does
not fall out so as to prevent any risk of injury.
