- All fitting work must only be performed by qualified technical personnel. The
customer is responsible for checking their qualifications.
- The details concerning positioning and fixing of the units must be observed and
followed without fail.
- The fixing material contained in the delivery must be used exclusively for fixing
the Defensor Mk4. If fixing with the material supplied is not possible in a special
case, select a similarly stable method of fixing. In case of doubt consult your
Defensor supplier.
The installation site of the steam humidifier largely depends on the location of the
steam distribution head or the ventilation unit, respectively. Please observe the
following instructions for positioning the unit in order to ensure correct functioning
of the steam humidifier.
- Defensor Mk4 steam humidifiers are designed for wall mounting. Ensure that the
structure (wall, pillar, etc.) on which the units are to be mounted, has sufficient
loadbearing capacity (note weight details in the dimensional diagrams) and is
suitable for fixing.
- The rear panel of the Defensor Mk4 warms up during operation (max. surface
temperature of sheel metal casing approx. 60 - 70 °C). Ensure therefore that
the structure (wall, pillar, etc.) on which the units are to be mounted, is not made
of heat sensitive material.
- Observe steam installation details (see chapter 2) without fail for the posi-
tioning of the humidifier (fitting position of steam distribution head, maximum
length of steam hose, etc.).
- The Defensor Mk4 should be installed so that there is sufficient space for
servicing. Also ensure that the unit is easily accessible.
