Placing the unit into operation
7.1 Transport
When transporting the unit, do so carefully in a horizontal position. Avoid shaking/impact. Protect the unit from
moisture, liquid spray, vapors, heat, frost and any kind of contamination (dust, soiling, etc.). For dimensions
and weight, see section 12 'Technical details'.
7.2 Setup
The cara Print LEDcure is only to be set up indoors on a firm, non-flammable surface (laboratory table, pedestal)
ensuring it is in a horizontal, safe state. The ambient temperature cannot exceed 30°C (86°F). The environment
must be clean and free from excessive dust.
Setup location: Table with a load capacity of at least 15 kg.
Setup surface (W x D x H): approx. 250 x 350 x 550 mm (max. height with sliding door open)
WARNING
Following the instructions below is imperative:
•
The rear side of the unit must be at least 10 cm away from the wall to avoid obstruction of exhaust air.
•
Do not place paper or other objects under the unit to avoid obstruction of the fan air supply.
•
There is a risk of overheating the LED modules if the air intake or output required to cool the unit is not
free of obstruction. The lifecycle of the LEDs could be affected. An error message appears when the
LED modules overheat.
7.3 Component check before placing the unit into operation
WARNING
The functionality of the unit is only guaranteed when the components are free from defects. Be sure
to thoroughly inspect the unit components before placing the unit into operation.
Make sure that:
•
all unit components are not damaged.
•
there is no residue or soiling present.
•
defective parts are replaced.
•
there is no damage to the mains switch, the connection socket or the mains cable insulation.
•
the power supply fits the wall outlet (see section 7.4 Mains connection – country-specific).
•
the mains socket has a functioning ground connection.
The unit inspection must be completed at regular intervals by the operator (e.g. weekly) (see section 7.6).
7.4 Mains connection
On the back of the unit there is a cold appliance plug connection socket with integrated mains fuses (2 pcs.).
The unit is outfitted with an operational power supply with a wide voltage range of AC 100 V – 240 V, 50/60 Hz,
+/- 10 %, for fuse rating see section 12 'Technical details' and 12.3 'Identification plate'.
