11 Filter changes, unit cleaning
6. Support slide-in module from below with one
hand and slide into wall sleeve. The profile
seal is used for fixing and avoidance of infiltra-
tion air. The motor connection cable must not
be strained when installed.
7. Fix motor connection cable in notch at side.
8. Insert connector plug of motor connection
cable.
9. Before putting on the front cover, the shutter
must always be open. Do this by switching on
the unit and/or opening the shutter.
10.Attach front cover at top in two housing studs
and swivel down until cover engages on lock-
ing lever.
11.Switch the mains fuses on. The ventilation
units start up.
12.Acknowledge the filter change on the room air
control/RC ventilation unit:
RLS 45 O: Press
RLS 45 K: Press
for 5 seconds.
DS 45 RC: Press SET button for 5 seconds.
Complete. The filter change is complete.

11.4 Cleaning PP 45 ventilation unit

Have ventilation unit cleaned by a specialist
installer every 2 years.
Clean internal grille, fan and electronics
cover with a dry cloth.
1. Remove slide-in module → previous chapter.
2. Before taking out the two filter seats, remove
both plastic rivets. To do this, press out the
rivet pin from inside with a sharp object, press
pin all the way out from the outside and take
off complete rivet.
3. Remove both filter seats.
4. Press together the two locking levers of each
filter seat and pull the filter seat out of the
slide-in module.

5. Pull fan unit out of slide-in module, blow out, if
necessary suction clean and clean with a dry
cloth.
6. Pull ceramic heat exchanger out of slide-in
module, you may have to angle the wall
sleeve slightly to remove.
7. Rinse heat exchanger with clear water, then
leave to dry.
8. Clean wall sleeve.
9. If possible, suction clean inner part of external
cover.
10.Insert ceramic heat exchanger in slide-in
sleeve. Only fit heat exchanger once dry.
11.Insert fan unit in slide-in module.
12.If necessary, replace the air filters → previous
chapter
13.Fit both filter seats on ends of slide-in module.
Make sure they lock into position.
14.Insert plastic rivets in the filter seats. Install in
reverse order as described in point 2.
15.Install the slide-in module and attach the front
cover → previous chapter.
11.5 Changing air filters of PPB 30
units
Change the air filters when the filter change indic-
ator appears (factory setting 6 months). Always
replace both air filters on each ventilation unit.
NOTICE Damage to unit if water enters the
unit when the front cover is taken off
Only remove front cover and perform mainten-
ance work when water (shower) is off. Only oper-
ate unit when fully fitted with original G3 filter (art-
icle no. 0093.1502).
NOTICE Damage to front cover when unlock-
ing.
Carefully actuate clips. Don't slide off.
