6 System features
All settings are undertaken and unit statuses dis-
played on the RLS. PP 45 O, PP 45 K and
PPB 30 O are connected to Fan1 and Fan2 con-
nections. PPB 30 K are only connected with
RS 485 bus.
6.5 Radio system from PP 45 RC /
PPB 30 RC units
• Each PP 45 RC / PPB 30 RC ventilation unit is
fitted with a radio module.
• RC units are operated with a DS 45 RC radio
switch. This can be simply glued to the installa-
tion location on the wall.
Installation location: Do not mount re-
ceiver, with internal antenna, on wall side of
transmitter.
• Alternatively, wired combination systems can
also be used with EnOcean module PP 45 EO.
These are then operated using the RLS 45 K
control.
• The radio system can be expanded with a
PP 45 ACT single channel radio actuator for the
`Supply air function´ for exhaust air units. For
connection → Radio actuator installation in-
structions.
Master-slave operation
• With radio-controlled systems, associated PP
45 unit pairs work in master-slave mode.
• Slave units (RC units, radio sensors, radio
switches etc.) are taught-in on the master unit.
The master unit is then responsible for handling
with the slave unit → Radio components which
can be taught-in (EEP).
• Only one slave unit can be assigned to each
master ventilation unit.
• Slave ventilation units are connected to the
master.
• Other components (radio sensors, radio
switches etc.) are only taught-in on the master
unit.
• To teach-in EnOcean components → PP 45 /
PPB 30 operating instructions.
6.6 Service mode
Mode intended for the specialist installer to make
settings and setup the unit functions and to re-
gister wired sensors → Commissioning.
The commissioning software can also be used
with the RLS 45 K control.

6.7 Sensors
Wired sensors are connected to an RLS 45 O or
RLS 45 K control.
Occupancy: Per control, max. 1 internal sensor
and 3 external sensors. The sensors (internal/ex-
ternal) can only be plugged/taught-in on the mas-
ter RLS.
On a PP 45 RC/PPB 30 RC master, up to 8 radio
sensors can be taught-in. The user is free to se-
lect the assignment. For sensor types that can be
used → Radio components which can be taught-
in (EEP).
External sensors are connected to the RS 485
interface of the room air control. Thus, the system
can be expanded with several external sensors →
Service mode [} 50]. With external sensors, ad-
dressing is undertaken using the rotary switch in
the sensor housing:
● Position 0: Sensor 1
● Position 1: Sensor 2
● Position 2: Sensor 3
