Insert the new battery into the battery compartment and close it carefully.
Make sure that the lead (red/black) of the terminal clip is not kinked.
Warning!
Never operate the measuring instrument when it is open.
!Danger to life!
Do not leave used batteries in the instrument since even
leakage-protected batteries can corrode releasing chemical
agents that might harm your health or destroy the battery
compartment.
Batteries should be considered to be special waste and,
therefore, should not be disposed of in an environmentally
compatible way (collecting boxes).
Replacing the fuse
As soon as the built-in fine-wire fuse (5 x 20mm) has reacted, any further mea-
suring becomes impossible.
Instead of a measured value, only "FUSE" will be displayed and you will hear
an acoustic signal (for about 2 sec.). The fuse must be replaced.
Proceed as follows:
When replacing the fuse you should absolutely observe the safety instruc-
tions! You must make sure that you use only fuses of the indicated type
and nominal value. Using repaired fuses or bridging the fuse holder is inad-
missible. For replacing the fuse, disconnect the measuring device from the
measuring circuit and switch if off. Remove any leads, adapters and test
pivots. Take a suitable screwdriver and open the housing carefully.
Remove the holster and battery compartment first, then remove the two
remaining recessed-head screws. Then lever out the lower housing half-
shell: the fuse is free. Remove the defective fuse and replace it by one of
the same type and nominal value. (See overload protection, max. input val-
ues)
Warning!
Carefully close the housing and screw it home in the oppo-
site order. Only take the measuring instrument into opera-
tion when the housing is closed correctly and the screws
are securely tightened.
