15
chronograph
The chronograph is started and stopped by con-
secutively pressing the pusher at 2 o'clock. The
chronograph and minute-counter hands are reset
to zero with the pusher at 4 o'clock, either when
the chronograph is stopped or during an ongoing
measurement (flyback). If the pusher at 4 o'clock is
pressed while the chronograph and minute-coun-
ter hands are running, the two hands will instantly
jump to zero and start a new measurement right
away. This is referred to as the flyback function. If
the chronograph is first stopped with the pusher
at 2 o'clock, pressing the pusher at 4 o'clock will
return the chronograph and minute-counter hands
to zero. They will stay there until the next meas-
urement is started. To reset the chronograph hand,
make sure you press the pusher at 4 o'clock firmly
and squarely in the middle.
Note:
If the chronograph function is not needed, the chrono-
graph hand can continue to run just like an ordinary sweep
seconds hand. This will not cause premature wear of the
clutch mechanism or reduce the power reserve.
