General information

These operating instructions contain basic
information on the installation, operation,
maintenance as well as the safe use of the
ED4100/50 condensate drain. The operating
instructions must be available at condensa-
tion drain at all times.

Target group

This operating manual is intended for all
persons that are involved in work with and
on the condensate drain. Such persons
must be trained in handling pressure devices
and electrical equipment. Based on their
qualifications and experience, these persons
have the necessary skills to handle pressure
devices.

Scope of delivery
The condensate drain is supplied with a
corresponding wall mounting bracket. After
connecting the condensate inlet and outlet
as well as setting up the electrical connec-
tion, the ED4100/50 is ready for operation.
Product ID
The product designation for the condensate
drain is made up of the following ID code:
ED
4100 /

Intended use

The condensate drain is designed solely
for the purpose of removing/draining liquid
condensate, containing no aggressive com-
ponents, from compressed air and com-
pressed air systems.
The condensate drain must be installed only
in a weather-protected environment with
ambient temperatures above freezing. A
heating system must be installed at ambient
temperatures below freezing. Operation of
the optionally available heater is permitted
only at ambient temperatures between -25
°C and 5 °C. The condensate drain must
operate free of vibration. Any other use is
deemed improper.
Impermissible applications
The condensate drain must not be used
to drain off condensate containing aggres-
sive components. The ED4100/50 must not
be operated in a vacuum or in atmospheric
systems. Changes to the condensate drain
are not permitted.
