Single Pump Systems
In a pool designed with a single pump for filtration and the cleaning
system, the adjustment of the fixed/down jet valves is critical. The
cleaning system requires 50 GPM alone for proper operation and
another 15 GPM for the fixed heads. The water valve gauge should
read 20psi - 24psi. On multi-valve systems the lowest pressure on
the water valve gauge should be at 20psi.
Dual Pump Systems
Dual pump systems are most beneficial. One pump operates
the Paramount water valve and rotating cleaning nozzles, and the
second pump operates the filtering, down jets, fixed directors
and possible other features such as chlorinators, spas, fountains,
etc The water valve gauge should read 20psi - 24psi. On multi-
valve systems the lowest pressure on the water valve gauge
should be at 20psi.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Do not add powders such as pool chlorine, stabilizer, and
diatomaceous earth through the skimmer on a two (2)-pump in-floor
system. Add powdered compounds into the Paramount In-Deck
Canister. Powdered compounds added through the skimmer on a
two (2)-pump system may flow through the in-floor pump and into
the water valve and in-floor nozzles, causing them to pack up with
compounds, creating an operational problem.
