Fixed Directors

The installation of the fixed directors will require some patience
and technique. The fixed directors have a small paper dot affixed
to indicate direction to main drain. It may require several tries of
alignment positioning of the fixed directors. Upon inserting the
director into the body, the counterclockwise turn to lock it in moves
the director jet approximately 1 -3/4". To rotate the director, grasp
the outer section of the nozzle assembly and rotate the bottom stem
counterclockwise to desired location.
It is possible to align the fixed directors while installed using the
pool utility pole to push on the grooves in the top of the nozzle only
turn clockwise while installed.
Deep-End Pattern
You may fine-tune the fixed directors with the factory tool that fits
into the back of the nozzles' 3/4" jet hole. Adjust the position while
water is flowing through the fixed nozzles.
The directors point
to the left of the
main drain.

Equipment Adjustments

Active Main Drain/Skimmer
Adjust the suction flow of the active main drain and skimmer lines so that 60% of the
suction is from the main drain/canister line.
Fixed Directors
The fixed directors normally only require about 12-16 GPM. Adjust the valve
accordingly and mark position.
Down Jets
The down jets may be controlled by a valve or by the Paramount water valve. Consult
the system design layout. If the down jets are attached to the filter manifold, adjust
the valve (single pump system) so that a minimum flow of 15-20 GPM is achieved. If
jets are attached to valve or dual pump system, adjustment is not required.
