Safety Instructions

This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by

people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a
lack of experience and / or knowledge if they are supervised or
have received instruction on how to use the device safely and
have understood the dangers resulting from failure to comply
with the relevant safety precautions.
Children must not play with the device.

Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by chil-
■
dren.
Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept
■
away from the device and the connecting cable.
Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable dust
■
or poisonous and explosive fumes.
Only use and store the device out of the reach of children and
■
animals. Improper use may result in injury and electrical shock.
The mains cable must also be kept out of the reach of children
and animals.
Warning of hot steam and hot surfaces! This device
works with hot steam! Use the device with care. You should
therefore only hold the device by the handle when you are
operating it and shortly afterwards. Do not touch the steam
bottom or the attachment during or shortly after use. Allow
the device and the attachment to cool down completely be-
fore you empty the water reservoir and / or clean the device
and store it away.
The device should always be unplugged from the power supply

if it is not supervised, before you pour water into the water res-
ervoir or empty it and before assembly, disassembly or cleaning.
If the device, the connecting cable or the plug of the device is
■
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or customer
service department or a similarly qualifi ed person (e. g. specialist
workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.
