If the control lamp lights up during use, the device is reheating. Do not press the
steam release button during the heating process in order not to slow this down
and to prevent a danger of scalding from hot water which may escape. Wait until
the control lamp goes out again.
4. If steam stops being produced, the water reservoir is empty. Refi ll it (see the "Fill-
ing the Water Reservoir" chapter). Never use the device without water to prevent
damage to the device!
After Use
CAUTION!
■
Remove the plug from the socket before cleaning.
■
Shortly after use, the device may still be very hot. You should therefore wait a few
minutes until it has completely cooled down before you remove the attachment used,
clean the device and/or store it away.
■
Never immerse the device in water or other liquids!
■
Never touch the device, the cable or the plug with wet hands.
■
Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads for cleaning.
These can damage the surface.
■
Descale the device regularly if you are not using distilled water to fi ll the water
reservoir.
1. Remove the mains plug from the plug socket.
2. Allow the device to cool down completely. Place it down on a water-resistant and
heat-resistant surface.
3. Empty the water reservoir. To do this, remove the seal plug from the water reservoir,
hold the device over a sink or similar outlet and turn it upside down. Allow all of the
water to fl ow out of the reservoir.
4. If necessary, use the cleaning brush (8) which is supplied to brush fl uff off the at-
tachments. The brush attachment (12) can also be rinsed with water. However, it is
essential that you allow it to dry completely before you attach it to the device or store
it away!
5. If necessary, wipe down the outside of the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth and
then dry it with a soft cloth.
Descaling
Use a standard commercial descaling agent to descale the device. Make sure that the
descaling agent is suitable for steam devices. Please note the instructions for use of
the descaling agent for details about the mixing ratio of water and descaling agent and
about the length of use.

3. When the control lamp goes out, the device is ready for
use. Then move the attachment in strokes over the fabric
and press the steam release button (11) at regular inter-
vals as you do so. However, do not keep the steam re-
lease button held down constantly! It is important for the
attachment to touch the fabric so that it is smoothed.
