wiring requirements

This appliance must be electrically connected and grounded in accordance with local codes. In the
A.
absence of local codes, use the current CSA C22.1 CANADIAN ELECTRICAL CODE in Canada or the
ANSI/NFPA 70-1996 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE in the United States.
Low voltage and 110 VAC voltage cannot be shared within the same wall box.
B.
Wire the appliance junction box to 110 VAC for proper operation of the appliance.
C.
Refer to "wiring diagram" section.
D.
This appliance is equipped with an electronic control valve which operates on a 3 volt system.
E.
Plug the 3 volt AC transformer into the appliance junction box to supply power to the appliance
F.
and install four "AA" cell batteries (not included) into the battery tray before use (only required if the
appliance is to operate during a power failure).

optional accessories requirements

This appliance may be used with a wall switch and/or a remote control
A.
Wiring for optional Wolf Steel approved accessories should be done now to avoid reconstruction.

Follow instructions that come with those accessories.
The battery tray and remote control receiver can be accessed through the air space between the

firebox front and the lower-front finishing cover panel.
The battery tray and remote control receiver must be secured using velcro to the inside of the lower

cover panel.

junction box installation

Remove the two screws that secure the junction box assembly
A.
to the outer shell on the left side of the appliance and remove
the junction box assembly.
Remove the one screw that secures the junction box to the

junction box plate and slide off the clip.
Route the supply wire through the 7/8" (22mm) hole of the
C.
junction box plate with a box connector (not supplied).
Connect the 120 volt supply wire to the receptacle as per the
D.
CSA C22.1 Canadian Electrical Code in Canada or the ANSI/
NFPA 70-1996 National Electrical Code in the United States.
Once the wiring is complete, reinstall the junction box to the
E.
junction box plate and resecure the screw that was removed
in step B.
Reinstall the junction box assembly by reversing step A
F.
making sure all plugs are secure in the junction box.
note:
If the appliance is already installed inside the enclosure, you can access the junction box from inside
the appliance by removing the burner base assembly (see "accessing the blower" section).
