Never obstruct the front opening of the appliance.

The front of the appliance must be finished with any non-combustible materials such as brick, marble, granite,
etc., provided that these materials do not go below the specified dimension, as illustrated.
•
Do not strike, slam, or scratch. Do not operate appliance with glass removed, cracked, or scratched.
•
Facing and/or finishing materials must never overhang into the appliance opening.
•
The glass door assembly is designed to pivot forward when relieving excess pressure that might occur. Finish-
ing or other materials must not be located in the opening surround the door as this will interfere with the doors'
ability to relieve pressure.

safety screen removal / installation

Glass may be hot. Do not touch glass until cooled.
•
If equipped with door latches that are part of a safety relief system, they must be properly engaged. Do not
operate the appliance with latches disengaged.
•
Facing and/or finishing materials must not interfere with air flow through air openings, louvre openings, operation
of louvres or doors, or access for service. Observce all clearances when applying combustible materials.
•
Before door is removed, turn the appliance off and wait until appliance is cool to the touch. Doors are heavy and
fragile so handle with care.
A barrier designed to reduce the risk of burns from the hot viewing glass is provided with the appliance
and must be installed.
Before the glass door can be removed, the surround with safety screen must be removed. Lift the surround with
safety screen off the 4 shoulder screws, tilt the top forward and remove from the appliance.
Reverse these steps to reinstall the safety screen and door. Ensure safety screen is installed correctly.
