Dynamic Braking Resistors

WARNING Isolate supply and ensure residual energy is discharged before wiring up the product.
Dynamic Brake Resistors tend to be used when an application requires
regenerated power from the motor to be dissipated.
The AC30 Frames D - K are all fitted with an internal brake switch as
standard, ready for connection to an external Dynamic Brake Resistor.

Wiring Details

Where a Dynamic Brake Resistor (DBR) is required for an inverter
application, connect across the terminals DB+ & DB (Frames D - J), or
across the terminals DC+ & DB (Frame K only).
WARNING
Do not apply external voltage sources (mains supply or
otherwise) to any of the braking terminals: DB+, DB. This can
lead to damage to the drive and installation, and risk to
personnel.

Internal Filter Disconnection

WARNING
Ensure that all wiring is electrically isolated and cannot be made
"live".
Do not touch filter terminals or cabling for at least 3 minutes after
removing the AC or DC supply.
For full instructions on how to disconnect the EMC Filter please refer to
HA503711U001/U002 'Chapter 4: Installation – Power Stack':

Power Ratings

See HA503711U001/U002/U003 'Appendix D: AC30 Series Product Codes' for understanding the product code.
