Engine oil NOTE:
Make sure the engine oil is at the specified Recommended engine oil classification; API
level. Add oil as necessary. (See page 8-5) Service "SE", "SF" type or equivalent (e.g.
"SF-SE", "SF-SE-CC", "SF-SE-SD" etc.).
Oil quantity:
Periodic oil change: Throttle lever
0.8 L (0.70 Imp qt, 0.85 US qt) Check to see that the throttle lever operates
Total amount: correctly.
0.95 L (0.84 Imp qt, 1.00 US qt) It must open smoothly and spring back to idle
when released.
Recommended oil : Fittings/Fasteners
SAE 10W40 type SE motor oil Always check the tightness of chassis fittings
o 10 30 50 70 90°F and fasteners before a ride. Use the chart on
page8-4 to find the correct torque.
Battery
Check fluid level and top-up if necessary. Use
5w3o only distilled water if refilling is necessary.
