the characteristic curves of the sensors. The
sensor characteristic curve must be linear.
9.7 Fireplace (ZP)
Function can be switched on with an additional
circuit board ZP.

Activates the fireplace function if the ventilation
unit is operated in conjunction with a fireplace.
After installation, the optional additional circuit
board must be switched to active with yes.

Flat, WS 300 Flat: Pre-requirements for the ad-
ditional circuit board 1 = DIP switch of ZP 1
set to brine earth heat exchanger and activ-
ated with brine earth heat exchanger para-
meter.
Additional circuit board 1 can be used to control a
brine earth heat exchanger with a regulated or
unregulated pump. A brine earth heat ex-
changer with an unregulated pump can be con-
trolled via the switching contact.
WS 310/410, WS 320/470, WS 160 Flat, WS
300 Flat and Trio: For connection on switching
contact → Basic settings.
Pre-requirements for connection on switching
contact: Brine earth heat exchanger is selected
under `Switching contact´ parameter (→ Switch-
ing contact function [} 39]). The T air inlet offset
heating is needed so that when a brine earth heat
exchanger and PTC heat register are present in
the ventilation unit, heating is first undertaken us-
ing the heat exchanger. An electric heat register
is only activated when the temperature drops fur-
ther.
T air inlet hysteresis cooling relates to the T sup-
ply air min cooling parameter → T supply air min.

Conditions for heating
Switch on brine CP when
• T air inlet (air temperature in outside air con-
nector) < minimum air inlet temperature (factory
setting) + T air inlet offset heating.
Switch off brine CP with unregulated pump
when
• T air inlet (air temperature in outside air con-
nector) > minimum air inlet temperature (factory
setting) + T air inlet offset heating + 1 K.
Switch off brine CP with regulated pump when
• the control voltage has fallen to 0 V.

Switching on brine CP
The air is cooled when all 3 conditions are met:
• Summer season. Does not apply to single con-
trol unit in solo mode because the `Season´
parameter is not queried.
