Selecting the mode setting of each item
Menu items differ depending on the position of the POWER switch.
The screen shows only the items you can operate at the moment.

* The electronic shutter is the function used to adjust the shutter speed automatically.
Note on RED EYE R and FLASH LVL
You cannot adjust RED EYE R and FLASH LVL if the external flash (optional) is not compatible.
Meaning
—— To suit your specific shooting requirement (p. 75)
—— To add special effects like those in movies or on the TV
to images (p. 71, 89)
Red-eye reduction does not function.
ON Preliminary flash before recording prevents red-eye.
HIGH To make the flash level higher than normal
To use the normal setting
LOW To make the flash level lower than normal
—— To adjust the white balance (p. 64)
—— To adjust the sharpness of the image outline with R/r.
The indicator appears on the screen.

To automatically activate the electronic shutter* when
