Answering Machine

9 Answering Machine
Taking the maximum recording time into account, the telephone
answering machine can store a total of 59 messages. This relates to
messages recorded both from callers as well as self−recorded mess-
ages, so−called memos.
The answering machine can be operated via the handsets or the base
station.
Recording quality and maximum recording time
The messages are compressed in order to store them. The recording
quality of the messages is dependent on the level of compression.
You can select from three different compression levels:
S
LOW compression, best recording quality:
maximum recording time of 7 minutes.
S
MEDIUM compression, standard recording quality:
maximum recording time of 10 minutes.
S
HIGH compression, reduced recording quality:
maximum recording time of 15 minutes.
Setting the compression level; . Menu Structure, Page 151.
When the memory capacity for new messages is exhausted, no
further messages are recorded. The TAM FULL" message appears
in the display. Delete old messages to make space for new mess-
ages.
The highest compression level is set at the factory, meaning that a
maximum recording time of 15 minutes is available.
Maximum recording time per message
You can define how much time callers have to leave a message:
maximally 60 seconds, maximally 120 seconds, maximally 180 sec-
onds or an unlimited time.
