Playing recorded messages
When new messages have been recorded, the answering machine
icon continues to flash in the handset display until all the new mess-
ages have been played.

The newly recorded messages are played first. Then the
previously recorded messages are played back, beginning with
the oldest message.

New messages are indicated in the display by a star icon.

While each message is being played back, the date and time it
was recorded appear in the display. When no new messages are
available, 00−00 00−00" appears in the display.

When the messages are being played back, the loudspeaker is
active; . Handsfree", Page 135. Press the L button if no
other people should hear the message. You can then only listen
to the message by holding the handset to your ear.

Changing the playback volume
The playback volume can be adjusted to one of 8 different levels (L1
to L8). The playback volume can also be muted completely (L0).

Message menu, key function assignment
The Message menu provides a range of functional options which can
be used while a message is being played: you can switch to different
messages, delete messages or end playback of the message. These
functions can be controlled:
