Problem
USB device isn't recognized.
It takes time to read USB devices

Problem
The DJ software on your PC/Mac
can't be used.
Sound of the DJ software isn't
properly output.
Sound is interrupted when using the
DJ software.
Check
Is the [CROSSFADER ASSIGN (A, THRU, B)]
switch set to the proper position?
Is a cue point set?
Is the [LEVEL/DEPTH] knob set to the center
position?
Is the [TRIM] knob set to the proper position?
Is the [SOUND COLOR FX] button pressed?
Is the [COLOR] knob set to the proper position?
Has the music file been analyzed?
Is the beatgrid irregular?
Is the beatgrid properly set?
Are the BPMs of the tracks in the two decks too
different?
Are you scratching?
Did you turn the unit off directly after changing
the settings?
Is the USB connection (LINK Export) driver
software installed?
Is the LAN cable properly connected?
Check
Is the USB device properly connected?
Is the USB device connected via a USB hub?
Is the USB device supported by the unit?
Is the file format supported by the unit?

Is the USB cable properly connected?
Is the driver software properly set?
Is the buffer size (latency) value appropriate?
Remedy
Set the [CROSSFADER ASSIGN (A, THRU, B)] switch to the proper position
for each channel.
Set a cue point.
Turn the [LEVEL/DEPTH] knob clockwise or counterclockwise.
Set the [TRIM] knob to the proper position.
Press one of the [SOUND COLOR FX] buttons.
Set the [COLOR] knob to the proper position.
Analyze the music file.
Set the beatgrid properly.
The SYNC function doesn't work properly if the BPM of the track on the deck
for which the [SYNC (INST. DOUBLES)] button is pressed isn't within the
adjustable tempo range of the track on the deck for which the [SYNC (INST.
DOUBLES)] button isn't pressed.
The SYNC function is disabled during scratching.
Before turning the unit off, wait for 10 seconds after changing the settings.
Make sure to press the [u] switch to turn the unit off.
For a USB connection, install the USB connection (LINK Export) driver
software.
Connect the LAN cable to the [LINK (EXTENSION)] terminal properly.
Remedy
Connect the USB device securely (fully insert it).
Don't use a USB hub.
The unit supports USB mass storage devices such as external hard disks and
portable flash memory devices.
Check that the file format of the connected USB device is supported by the unit.

Turn the unit off, wait for 1 minute, and then turn the unit on again.
It takes time to read a connected USB device if the device contains many
folders and files.
It takes time to read a connected USB device if files other than music files are
stored in folders. Don't store files or folders other than music files on the USB
device.
Check that the file format of the track is supported by the unit.
Press and hold down the [TIME MODE (AUTO CUE)] button for approximately
1 second or more to disable the Auto Cue function.
Copyright-protected files can't be played.
Play music files that aren't damaged.
Remedy
Connect the unit and your PC/Mac directly using the USB cable. USB hubs
can't be used. (page 9 )
Set the driver software properly.
On a Windows, use the setting utility to set an appropriate buffer size value.
On a Mac, set the appropriate buffer size (latency) value for the DJ software.
