Fitting and removing the
wheel
6.1
Passenger vehicle wheel attachment
WARNING – Wheel slip!
Risk of crushing of fingers and other body
parts when attaching and removing wheel.
Wear protective gloves.
Wear safety shoes.
Do not place fingers between the wheel and
the shaft.
Heavy wheels should always be handled by
two people.
1. Switch on the WBE 5210 at the on/off switch.
2. Position the appropriate cone on the shaft (flange).
3. Move the wheel lift slide fully to the right.
4. Place heavy passenger vehicle wheel on the wheel
lift slide and raise the wheel with the wheel lift (left
pedal) until the axis of the wheel is on a level with
the flange axis.
5. Move the wheel lift slide to the left until the passen-
ger vehicle wheel makes contact with the flange.

6. Slide the (disengaged) quick-action clamping nut
onto the shaft and press firmly against the wheel.
7. Engage and turn the quick-action clamping nut in
clockwise direction until the wheel is firmly clamped.

6.2
Removing the passenger vehicle
wheel
1. Position the wheel lift slide beneath the wheel.
2. Turn the quick-action clamping nut counter-clockwise
and unfasten the wheel.
3. Disengage and remove the quick-action clamping nut.
4. Move the wheel lift slide and wheel horizontally until
the wheel is on the right of the shaft.
5. Lower the wheel lift slide.
6. Remove the wheel.
