3.1 Thermal motor protection

The integrated temperature sensor protects the synchronous servomotors against
overload conditions:
Shaft height 28 to 48
from shaft height 63
There is no adequate protection at thermally critical load situations, e.g. a high
overload at motor standstill. This is the reason that, for example, a thermal
overcurrent relay must be provided as additional protection.
If an overload condition of 4SM
protection should be provided.
