Leak test without lung demand valve or respiratory filter:
1. Close the connector with the ball of your hand.
2. Inhale and hold your breath. There must be no noticeable
air ingress, otherwise check the mask fit.
The exhaled air must be able to escape without
RA obstruction through the exhalation valve.
PE 3. Repeat the seal test twice.
4. Screw lung demand valves or respiratory filters into the
connector until they are tight. Have a second person
check the tightness and correct connection.
5. If required, connect SCBA or airline equipment.

4. Insert the lung demand valve into the connector or screw
in the respiratory filter until it fits tight.
5. Turn and pull the lung demand valve to check if it fits tight.
Have a second person check the tightness and correct
connection.
6. If required, connect SCBA or airline equipment.

During use

3.5.1 Low temperatures
Use anti-fog coated visors (PCaf) or protect the inside of the visor
against fogging with "klar-pilot" gel. Use "klar-pilot" comfort to protect
the anti-scratch coated visors (PCas) against fogging.
3.5.2 High temperatures/alternating thermal stress
WARNING
!
Leave the danger zone immediately when noticing any signs
of damage, e.g. bubbles in the visor.
The coating may dissolve in some places on visors marked PCas and
PCaf. The facepiece remains usable until the end of the mission.
Replace visor after use.
3.5.3 Chemicals
Some substances can be absorbed by the material of the mask body
or may even diffuse through it. Further information can be obtained
from Dräger.
