4.4.2 Replacing the inner mask (Figure H on Page 3)
1. To disconnect the inner mask, take hold of the inner mask at the
tip of the nose, pull it off the cam and remove it all around from the
speech diaphragm groove.
2. To attach and centre it, place the tip of the nose of the inner mask
on the cam. Insert the ring of the inner mask into the groove in the
speech diaphragm, first at the bottom and then all around.
4.4.3 Replacing the speech diaphragm
1. Disconnect the inner mask.
2. Unscrew the speech diaphragm with a pin wrench and remove it.
3. Perform a visual inspection of the speech diaphragm and the O-
ring and replace them if necessary.
4. Insert the O-ring, then screw in the speech diaphragm.
5. Attach the inner mask.
4.4.4 Replacing the exhalation valve
1. Open the exhalation valve cover.
2. Disconnect the valve disc.
3. The valve disc and valve seat must be clean and

undamaged. Otherwise clean and replace.
4. Fit the valve disc.
2. Pull the straight leg of the spring holder outwards and
remove the spring holder (Figure G on Page 3).
3. Remove the valve disc.

4. The valve disc and valve seat must be clean and

undamaged. Otherwise clean and replace.

5. Insert the valve disc.
6. Place the spring at the centre of the valve disc, insert the
angled leg and lock the spring holder with both legs.
7. Close the exhalation valve cover.

4.4.5 Replacing the inhalation valve
P 1. Press the button on the connector.
P 1. Pull the inhalation valve out of the connector.
RA Do not damage the connector.
PE
1. To remove the valve seat, place a sealing ring lifter under
the edge of the valve seat.
ESA
Do not damage the connector. Do not pull the valve seat
ribs with pliers.
2. The valve disc and valve seat must be clean and undamaged.
Otherwise clean and replace.
3. Insert the inhalation valve into the facepiece.
4.4.6 Replacing the control valve discs
The valve discs and valve seats must be clean and undamaged.

Otherwise clean or replace the valve discs.
4.4.7 Replacing the connector
1. Disconnect the inner mask.
2. Unhook the cap from the visor frame on both sides (Figure F1-1 on
Page 3).
3. Push the bottom part of the cap up with your thumb and remove
the cap from the fixing lugs (Figure F1-2 on Page 3).
4. Pull the cap upwards to remove it from the facepiece.
5. Use a screwdriver to pry open the clamping ring, then remove it.
6. Pull out the old connector.
7. Align the new connector with the centre marking and insert it,
ensuring that it is properly seated.
8. Align and mount the new clamping ring: attach the hook to ensure
the tightest possible fit of the clamping ring. Compress the nose of
the clamping ring with the pliers (R 53 239) until the mask
connector is securely located in the mask body.
