4.6.1 Setting the type of engine/number of cylinders
F1:
4-stroke engine, possible number of cylinders: 1 to 6, 8,
10, 12
F2:
4-stroke engine, possible number of cylinders: 1 to 4
F3:
Wankel engine, possible number of rotary pistons: 1 to 4
F5/6: Setting of number of cylinders or rotary pistons

4.6.2 Setting the ignition system
(not applicable when diesel adapter plugged in)
F1:
Rotary high voltage distribution with one distributor
F2:
Rotary high voltage distribution with two distributors (no
dual-spark ignition systems)
F3:
High voltage distribution with dual-spark ignition coil
(DFS), one ignition spark each in power stroke and
exhaust stroke
F4:
High voltage distribution with single-spark ignition coils
(EFS) with camshaft sensor, only one ignition spark
during the power stroke (see softkey F6 also)
F5:
High voltage distribution with single-spark ignition coils
without camshaft sensor (with crankshaft sensor), one
ignition spark each in the power and the exhaust stroke
(see softkey F6 also)
F6:
To select whether the trigger clamp-on pickup is clamped
on the ignition cable of the first cylinder or the primary
cable (terminal 1/-) of the ignition coil of the first cylinder.
The preferred position set at the factory anticipates
connection to the primary cable of the first cylinder.
(Activated only if single-spark ignition coils with camshaft
sensor (softkey F4) was selected.)
