6.4 Setting ultrasound frequency
The unit can operate with 2 different ultrasound frequencies.
Use the Frequency switch (Fig. 4.10.1) to set the ultrasound frequency.
The following frequencies are available:
28 kHz
For removing rough and stubborn caked-on dirt and for the pre-cleaning of robust surfaces.
80 kHz
For fine-cleaning and removing dirt from delicate surfaces.
i
The frequency can be switched during ultrasound operation. (This function is only available in Dura S models.)
6.5 Ultrasonic cleaning operation
Before starting the ultrasonic cleaning process, please observe the following information.
Danger from hot surfaces and cleaning liquid!
The ultrasonic energy is converted physically into heat. The unit and the liquid heat up during ultrasound operation, even if the heating is not switched on.
Caution
Temperatures of more than 60 °C can be reached in continuous operation with the cover on. Temperatures of more than 80 °C can be reached in continuous
operation with the cover and the heating on. Do not reach into the bath. Wear gloves, if necessary, when touching the unit and the basket.
!
Ultrasonic units can cause unpleasant hearing sensations under certain circumstances.
Caution
Use personal hearing protection when you are in the vicinity of an ultrasonic unit operated without a cover.
Ultrasound can damage delicate surfaces during prolonged exposure, in particular at low cleaning frequencies.
!
In particular for delicate surfaces, make sure to adjust the ultrasonic irradiation time.
Notice
If in doubt, check the progress of the cleaning and the condition of the material surface.

temperature increase of the cleaning medium into account.
The user is responsible for monitoring the cleaning result and for checking the items being cleaned for damage early enough in the cleaning
process.
6.6 Setting the ultrasonic power
This unit allows adjusting the ultrasonic power to the items being cleaned. (delicate surfaces)
Use the Gen.power switch (Fig. 4.10.1) to select a value between 10 and 100%
6.7 Introducing objects for cleaning
Attention!
Only liquids and the items immersed in them may be exposed to ultrasonic irradiation. Never expose persons, animals or plants to ultrasonic irradiation
for cleaning purposes, except for justified exceptions.
!
Do not reach into the tank during ultrasound operation!
Notice
Cell walls, in particular at the bones and joints, can be damaged by prolonged exposure to ultrasound.
Do not place any items on the tank floor! Do not place objects directly on the floor of the ultrasonic tank, this may damage the unit.
Use cleaning basket! Place the objects into the stainless-steel cleaning basket (accessory).
