and some water.
7.
Keep away from acid or corrosive products.
8.
Make sure the temperature of the place ranges between
10°C and 35°C.
9.
Make sure the water is taken from a pipe where water
suitable for human use flows.
10. If necessary, install a by-pass to avoid water interrup-
tions in the event of a downtime.
11. Install a tap for outflow water collection, in order to check
machine performance.
12. Prepare the water and unload systems for a correct in-
stallation. In particular, make sure that all pipes are not
flattened or have too narrow elbows.
13. Never use the machine without the appropriate filter (fig.
2) for filtering the inflow water.
The producer is not responsible for any damage and/or
injuries deriving from lack of respect of the above-men-
tioned warnings.
8) QUICK JOINTS (FIG. 3)
The pipe connections are made with quick joints.
To disconnect a pipe you must unload the pressure, then
press the black ring around the pipe next to the insertion in
the opposite direction to the extraction, then extract the pipe.
To connect the pipe again, you must simply insert it until it
stops (about 2 or 3 cm).

9) INSTALLATION

9.1 WATER NETWORK CONNECTION

Water network connection must be performed by a qualified
personnel in accordance with the existing law and the instal-
ler's instructions.
Make sure that:
• inlet (fig. 1 E) pipe must be in compliance with "Pipes for
drinking water" regulations.
• water inlet pipe must have an inner diameter of at least 8
mm. (fig. 1 E)
• the pressure of the water network ranges between 2 bar
and 8 bar (we advise you at least 3 or 4 bar).
• if pressure is higher than 8 bar, the installation of a pressu-
re reducer is required.
Inlet and outlet taps are equipped with a quick joint. For a
correct installation you only need to insert the two taps in the
dedicated joints (fig. 3).
Connect the inlet pipe to the collection pipe an open the user
tap until the machine is installed (fig. 1 A).
The machine was built with materials compliant with the
requirements of the ministerial order n. 174/2004

9.2 UNLOADING SYSTEM CONNECTION

During the normal working, the outflow water must be con-
veyed through a plastic flexible pipe, diameter 6 mm, (inclu-
ded in the package) and into the nearest unloading system
(fig. 1 H).
Install the unloading pipe following the instructions below,
as a poor installation will cause malfunctioning: insert the
unloading pipe in the dedicated housing and place the pipe in
a basin, paying attention that:
• the unloading point must be at floor level;
• If the unloading point is placed higher than the machine,
the maximum height acceptable is 1.2 metres, provided
that the distance is not longer than 5 metres and the pres-
sure of the supply water network is at least 3 bar (fig. 5).
Instruction manual ZB01
• Make sure the pipe is not flattened or bent, as water
should flow out without running into obstacles (fig. 6 A, B);
• The unloading system must never be directly connected
to a siphon or to other unloading pipes, in order to prevent
returns or pollution into the water softener.

10) SETTING AT WORK

1. Remove the panel protecting the filter (fig. 1 D).
2. Remove and wash abundantly the filter cartridge under a
water jet (fig. 2 E) and build it in the filter cup.
3. Open the user tap (fig. 1 A) to unload the first outflow
water.
4. Open the inlet and outlet taps (fig. 1 B and 1 G) and make
sure there is no water loss.
5. Unload about 30 litres water, which contain the membra-
ne-protecting substances.

11) FUNCTIONING

ZB01 does not require any adjustment.
The operator is responsible for using the machine properly
and, once it is installed, making sure that the supplied water
quality complies with the requirements.
In the event that the machine does not work for a long time,
we advice you to unload about 20 or 30 litres water at the
restart.

12) ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

Maintenance procedure require filter replacement.
The filter efficiency is very important for a good functioning
of the machine. A bad filtration causes a malfunctioning of
the machine.
We advise you to replace the filter every time it is too dirty
or at least once every 6 months. Filter replacement must be
carried out only with original spare parts.
To perform maintenance work, we advise you to address
to an installer.
12.1 FILTER REPLACEMENT (FIG. 2)
Filter replacement procedure:
1. Close the inlet tap and open the user tap (fig. 1 A) and let
all the pressure unload.
2. Unscrew the three screws and remove the front panel pro-
tecting the filter (fig. 1 D). Loosen the filter screw to let the
remaining pressure unload.
3. Using the supplied key (fig. 2 C) unscrew the sleeve (fig. 2
B).
4. Take apart the sleeve and the filter cup (fig. 2 F) and pull
out the old cartridge. If dirty, clean the filter cup paying
attention to the seal.
5. Clean the new cartridge under a water jet and set it in the
filter cup properly, paying attention to the seal. Then reas-
semble the filter cup with its seal and screw the sleeve with
the supplied key.
6. Open the inlet tap (fig. 1 B) slightly and let the air go out
from the filter screw. When the cup is full, close the inlet
tap and screw the screw. Reopen the inlet tap slowly and
completely and make sure there are no leaks.
7. Replace the front panel protecting the filter.

13) MEMBRANE REPLACEMENT

Membranes do not have an expiry date or a time limit beyond
which it is necessary to replace them. Their working condi-
