d) Slide switch for two-speed gearbox
On the top of the cordless drill driver there is a slide switch (3) for selecting
the two gears of the integrated two-speed gearbox.
A 1st gear, low rotation speed (0-400 U/min), high torque
B 2nd gear, high rotation speed (0-1500 U/min), low torque
The slide switch for selecting the two speeds should only be
used if the drive of the cordless drill driver has come to a com-
plete standstill. The drive might otherwise be damaged.
If one of the two speeds cannot be set by activating the slider,
the driving toothed wheels are probably in an unfavourable po-
sition.
In this case, activate the on/off switch slightly so that the
toothed wheels move a little bit. It should now be possible to
move the slide switch.
e) On/off switch with speed control
To be able to operate the on/off switch (10), the rotation direction switch (4) must not be in the central posi-
tion (in this position the on/off switch is blocked).
The speed of the drive depends on the pressure with which the on/off
switch (10) is pressed (B). In this way, the speed can be adjusted smoothly
from standstill up to the maximum number of revolutions.
If the on/off switch (A) is released, the drive slows down to a standstill
("rotation stop").
Upon pressing the on/off switch (10), the LED (11) lights up
automatically to illuminate the working area.
For safety reasons, the on/off switch (10) must be blocked with
the rotation direction switch (4) during tool changes, mainte-
nance or cleaning as well as during transport or storage. Inad-
vertently pressing the on/off switch (10) may result in injury!
