d) Battery
• Please note the operating instructions of the battery.

can damage the cordless drill driver, and an unsuitable battery may even pose a risk of fire and explosion.
e) Operation of the cordless drill driver
• Keep your working area clean. Make sure that the working area is well lit. A disorganised working area or
poor lighting can cause accidents. Keep children away from your working area. Ensure that your working
area is well ventilated.
• Only use the product when your ability to respond is unaffected. Fatigue, alcohol or certain medications
can cause accidents and injuries.
• Rotating parts can catch your hair or clothes posing a risk of injury! Therefore, use a hair net or similar if
you have long hair and wear close-fitting clothes when using the product.
• Never touch the rotating drill chuck, the rotating drill bit or other tool bits (e.g. screw bits). Risk of injury!
• Always check the cordless drill driver and the battery for damage before using them. In case you notice
any damage, do not operate the device and bring it to a specialist workshop.
• For safety reasons, the rotation direction switch must be set to its central position before inserting or
removing screw or drill bits. In this position the drive is blocked (safety catch).
• Use the cordless drill driver only for screwing screws in or out, drilling holes or similar tasks. The cord-
less drill driver must not be used for any other purposes (e.g. mixing mortar, powering other equipment/
machines/tools, etc.).
• Do not overload electrical appliances. Only use electrical appliances for their intended purposes.
• Protect the workpiece against sliding or turning. For example, use a vise for drilling operations.
• Always ensure that you have a secure footing (e.g. by using a ladder).
• Ensure that power, gas or water lines are not damaged when drilling or screwing in screws! Power lines
pose a risk of death from electric shock; gas pipes pose a risk of fire and explosion! Water pipes can also
cause severe material damage.
• Never work with objects carrying a live voltage. Always use protective equipment when working in the
vicinity of electrical cables.
